Project Office

The SeaDataNet project office is established at IFREMER/SISMER the French NODC on the Brest Oceanographic Centre of IFREMER, under the reponsibility of the Project Director and with the support of the Management Team and the IFREMER Administration and Computer Department.

The role of the Project Office is to perform the general secretariat of the Project, to provide assistance to the Project Director and his/her Deputy in the day to day tasks (filing of documents and mail, preparation of reports and correspondence, organization of meetings, etc…). It is also a focal point and liaison office between the Participants, the Commission, the Co-ordinator, the Steering Committee, and other Project bodies.

The Project Office is also monitoring the operational activities for transnational access to data, meta-data, products and services as defined in the NA2 workpackage and maintains the user desk assistance.
